Position Overview

This role partners with the Sr. Director, Internal Audit in fulfilling the department’s mission and responsibilities in accordance with the Internal Audit Charter as approved by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. The position will play a pivotal role in advancing departmental capabilities and scope using best practices and emerging technology. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively partner with business and technology leaders to analyze processes and recommend  improvement opportunities that drive  efficiency and cost savings company-wide. The position will assist the Head of Internal Audit with managing SOX requirements including 404 testing and will take the lead role in interacting with the external auditors.  This is a high visibility role with access to Executive Management and the Audit Committee.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Sr. Director, Internal Audit in advancing departmental capabilities and scope using best practices and emerging technology
  • Design and execute audits of of the Company's technology platforms and cybersecurity practices
  • Well versed on technological advancements in Internal Audit and is able to translate theory into practice
  • Communicates to the Head of Internal Audit, Senior Management and the Audit Committee in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results
  • Conducts the annual risk assessment and works with other functional teams to identify risks and recommends action plans
  • Conducts internal audits in accordance with the internal audit plan from planning to reporting
  • Performs SOX 404 testing, including ITGC, ITAC, IPE, and business process controls
  • Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete and documented understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk
  • Identifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
  • Coordinate and manage the relationship with external auditors
  • Manage all internal audit direct reports, and external internal audit consultants , as required
  • Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor’s Degree with professional certifications; CISA; CPA; CIA
    • Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • High personal standards and professional ethics with a commitment to excellence
  • Big Four/public accounting audit experience preferred
  • Highly refined analytical skills to quickly review and analyze business processes to identify control deficiencies aswell as business operating problems and opportunities.
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, PCAOB and IIA Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
  • Expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley and its application in a company environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the IT environment and how it impacts financial statements and management reporting
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and team skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with alllevels of management and staff
  • Proactive in researching business best practice concepts and apply as appropriate
  • Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive manner to avoid surprises
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges
  • Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
  • 5+ years of experience years of experience
  • 3+ years of management experience mentoring and training team, may be in a team lead capacity

Compensation: $94,000 to $115,000/Year

Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
