Position Overview

 

The PD & Sourcing manager will play a pivotal role to drive sourcing initiatives for private label HGNA categories. They will collaborate with cross-function partners to execute the development and production of the assortment throughout the product life cycle. This role involves managing the day-to-day functions in product development—including sourcing, costing, and sample management for the assigned categories and maintaining the relationship with suppliers. The Sr. Product Development & Sourcing Manager will partner with VP of Sourcing to craft and evolve new department responsibilities, while managing a small supporting staff.

 

 

Position Details

Work Environment:

You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely from home on Fridays if you prefer.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Drive to achieve IMU & Speed goal, keeping/enhancing the quality of products.

  • Lead and mentor a small staff by providing guidance and expertise.

  • Build partnerships with cross-functional teams to execute the product development and sourcing strategies.

  • Understand the strength/opportunities of private label HGNA suppliers and make a vendor allocation decision to maximize value & quality.

  • Conduct cost analysis related to all aspects of costing - including and not limited to raw material pricing, yields, trim costing, make, duty rates and HTS coding.

  • Communicate with suppliers regularly to manage the relationship as well as be vigilant on any potential development & production issues.

  • Responsible for delivering on-time, accurate development product costing. Monitor seasonal progress, and flagging costing, lead time, or MOQ issues to appropriate teams when needed.

  • Highlight key development timelines to leadership and cross functional partners during milestone and cross-functional meetings.

  • Manage the production TNA to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Lead vetting and onboarding processes of potential new vendors.

  • Collaborate with QA & compliance team to ensure the quality and regulatory compliance of product

  • Monitor development costs, sampling costs, and liabilities.

  • Partner with design and technical design to ensure accurate tech packs and clear factory communication are sent for the development of prototypes.

  • Travel as needed.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, design, product dev
    • Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical & negotiation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects from concept to completion with time
    constraints.
  • A strong knowledge of fabric and garment construction
  • A strategic and critical thinker with forward vision
  • Solution oriented and customer-focused
  • A team player who fosters cross functional relationships
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with a PLM system preferred
  • 5+ years of experience years of experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience

Compensation Range: $80,000 to $95,000/year 

 

Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
