Position Overview

 

This role directly supports the product design category leader, while working closely with cross functional teams. They are responsible for supporting the day to day functions of product design and development work

 

 

Position Details

Work Environment:

At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based at our headquarters near Madison, WI. You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays if you prefer.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Maintain PLM with color chipping, bom updates, bom resends, sketch updates and any other needs based on business fluctuation during design cycle
  • Maintain submits and provide comments on items necessary for overseas vendors and HK office partners to
    maintain development schedule (handlooms, strike offs, trims, thread submits, etc)
  • Collaborate with merchandising, product development, and tech design, throughout all development stages to execute brand objectives
  • Partner with Merchandising and TD partners to ensure needs are met for weekly meetings (agenda updates, sample pulling, presentation updates)
  • Market analysis recaps of program opportunities in given catergories via trend, color, model
  • Maintain sample library organization
  • Assist in preparing documents for milestone meetings
  • Attend fittings with manager, take notes, make necessary updates in PLM, and communicate out to team changes once complete
  • Assist with sending out, organizing, and gathering wear test samples and feedback
  • Maintain market sample room, Duluth sample racks, color chips/color boards
  • Manage mailroom needs
  • Other duties as assigned to support the overall business needs
  • Opportunity to learn and be mentored by experienced Associate, Designer, and Senior Designers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Product Development
    • Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Adobe Suite Skills - willing to learn new skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects from concept to completion with time constraints
  • An understanding of fabric and garment construction from schooling
  • A strategic and critical thinker with forward vision
  • Solution oriented and customer-focused
  • A team player who fosters cross functional relationships
  • ntermediate "all things Google" skills
  • No Management Experience Required
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Position Compensation Outline 

Compensation Range: 23.07 to $28.84/hour.

 

Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience, and qualifications. Benefits and perks may have eligibility requirements and are subject to change.
