Position Overview

 

The purpose of the AP Operations Manager is to fully support the Director of AP & Safety with all operational AP support, to include: departmental budgets and invoice processing, AP fraud investigations (retail and direct orders), Agilence/POS exception research/investigation, AP Project management, and AP equipment and services (CCTV maintenance and installation, card access, video management systems, alarm and fire panels, alarm monitoring, and armored car service), and all other FC/retail support.

 

 

Position Details

Work Environment:

At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based at our headquarters near Madison, WI. You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays if you prefer.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Work cross-functionally to develop analytical procedures that identify opportunities to reduce loss and improve gross margin capture.
  • Coordinate efforts with our Direct Ship fraud prevention company, Signified, to reduce Direct Ship losses.
  • Create Direct Ship fraud measurables and report monthly on the rates.
  • Investigate web orders placed on “Fraud Hold” and provide recommendations on legitimacy.
  • Investigate repeat “Delivered - But Not Received” customer deliveries.
  • Research return and replacement and other customer concession exceptions reporting.
  • Responsible for case management and records retention.
  • Work with the Finance team to investigate bad debts.
  • Provide recommendations around: Operational process changes or improvements. Fraud reduction measures. System improvements to reduce fraud.
  • Monitor online marketplaces for copyright infringement and fraudulent activity. Investigate and report findings. File copyright and verified rights violations within terms of marketplaces.
  • Educate self and the company on current fraud and loss trends in the retail market. Network with nationally recognized fraud mitigation groups and alliances.
  • Responsible for identifying any type of retail fraud and implementing necessary controls.
  • Maintain retail and FC CCTV systems and their corresponding video management system (VMS). Responsible for CCTV access and archiving management.
  • Coordinate access control for stores, headquarters, and fulfillment centers (BRIVO).
  • Maintain burglar and fire control panels and systems in stores, headquarters, and fulfillment centers.
  • Responsible for yearly fire inspections and burg/fire permits where required by law.
  • Responsible for coordinating armored car pickups to minimize costs and maximize safety of our employees.
  • Schedule service for all AP equipment as needed.
  • Manage vendor projects and services.
  • Coordinate department capital projects.
  • Research new vendors and products as needed.
  • Ensure that all installations are managed to the budget.
  • Establish minimum project guidelines using industry best practices.
  • Responsible to assist in the development of the yearly budget formulation.
  • Responsible for monthly budget review.
  • Responsible for reviewing and submitting all invoices for approval.
  • Responsible for vendor contract maintenance.
  • Coordinate efforts with our fraud solution provider, Agilence. Assist with the integration and deployment of our exception-based reporting system, including advising on information required to build queries and reporting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in fraud analytics.
  • Identify internal theft cases, and investigate thoroughly.
  • Develop controls based on confirmed cases of internal theft.
  • Develop ad-hoc queries and reporting.
  • Distribute POS transactions to the stores for the purpose of prevention and identifying training opportunities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Bus. Admin, or other related field
    • Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Experience in Asset Protection and fraud data analytics
  • Experioence with ERB toold including building queries and interpreting the output
  • Knowlede of Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Agilence EBR tool a decided plus
  • Strong background in trend analysis and margin erosion detection
  • 5+ years of experience years of experience.
  • No Management Experience Required
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Position Compensation Outline 

Compensation Range: $80,000 to $95,000/year 

This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus program.
